The Next Mutation is one of those things the turtle fandom somewhat ignores. There some a few aspects of the series that could have potential. The biggest set back to this show was and always will be the introduction of a fifth female turtle named Venus.
The show was produced by Saban in 1997 and only had one season. It was live-action much like the original three movies. The Dragonlord was the main villain in this series with Shredder only appearing in three episodes.
I personally liked the toys made by Playmates for the series as well as the theme song, but that's about it. Well except maybe the cross-over with the Power Rangers. Now that was awesome.
